3. Bigger Than Ever!
This is going to be the biggest Total War game ever. Almost every aspect of the game is being made bigger. The campaign map is going to be bigger than in any Total War before, as it stretches further east than the original Rome: Total War. Although it hasn't been confirmed yet; the map in the new game could stretch to as far as modern day Iran. There are also going to be bigger battles with more units and bigger armies. The Creative Assembly team have also confirmed that navies are going to be bigger with several ships making up each unit rather than just one. Siege battles are also going to be bigger as cities have expanded in size and the sea will play a bigger part through the new amphibious warfare feature. All these new changes should help to make Rome II better and more engrossing than its predecessors, but one new system has also been implemented which will help stop players from being overwhelmed by all these big new features. A new tactical map has been introduced to the battle map which allows players to zoom out and get an overview of virtually the entire battlefield in real-time. The development team have stated that this will help players in battles as it will allow them to keep track of all their units. However, players wont be able to control units in the tactical map as that would take away the essence of the battle which is to command your troops realistically. These new changes look set to make Rome II bigger and better than any of its predecessors with more to do every time you play.
