5 Ways Resident Evil 7 Is The Perfect Horror Game

2. Making An Impossible Choice

The final choice might not seem so scary, but it is strong and, in a way, tragic, which contributes to the authenticity of emotions that you're supposed to feel when playing the game.

You're finally free, able to run away, and yet, you cannot save everyone.

Who should you pick? Mia, your missing wife, who you've come here to save in the first place, or Zoe, without whom you wouldn't be able to leave the house? Fear and helplessness combine in this important moment, which determines the ending of the game.

The only problem with the two endings is that only one of them is good, as it allows you to actually save the person that you've injected the serum with. In the other one, you're left alone.
