3. Ridiculous Boss Fights

In a very brief moment of serene clam in Resident Evil 4, you have evaded the Las Plagas and found your way to a lake. There is a boat and you need to get across. Simple right? You wade out into the mist, grateful that zombies can't swim. Trouble is, halfway across there is a rumbling in the water. You look over the side...and what the flip is that? It's a big, grotesque lake, water, monster, lake, water thingy and it's hungry. Thus begins a rather memorable boss battle where you have to defend yourself with nowhere to run against a foe about as deadly as a pissed off Gyrados. It was one of the moments in Resident Evil 4 that stood out. Unfortunately it was also just another step towards the absolute absurd for Resident Evil's boss battles. The standout example is the end of Leon's campaign in Resident Evil 6. It's actually indescribable. It's a guy (sorry I can't remember what he's called most likely due to lack of caring) who is affected in ridiculous ways by the virus. First he mutates into some kind of fleshy dinosaur, and then a rhino, and then he's some kind of spidery leggy thing. The boss fight goes on forever, and it's just so utterly laughable that it is easy to forget this franchise was about a mansion full of zombies once.
