13. Rayman Legends
Platforms: PlayStation 3 / Xbox 360
Release Date: 30 August, 2013 In 2011 Ubisoft released Rayman Origins, a reboot of the series that took the series back to a more traditional 2D platformer. Origins proved to be a very successful game and so it led to a sequel. That sequel was Rayman Legends which took everything from the previous game and improved upon it. More content and new game modes set it apart from its predecessor. Legends contained beautifully crafted levels, gorgeous visuals and an exceptional soundtrack. It is one of the best platformers ever created and takes you back to brilliant times had with classics such as Super Mario World.
12. The Orange Box
Platforms: PlayStation 3 / Xbox 360
Release Date: 9 October, 2007 Few releases have packed as much value into them as The Orange Box did. It included the previously released Half Life 2 and Half Life 2: Episode One, as well as brand new games in Team Fortress 2, Portal and Half Life 2, Episode 2. The Half Life games speak for themselves in being hugely successful first-person shooters. Team Fortress 2 has gone on to become one of the most popular games on Steam with a free-to-play model. But the surprise hit from the package was Portal. Weve already discussed Portal 2, which made its way to this list, but its predecessor was almost as good and introduced us to the menacing GLaDOS and the innovative portal gun.
11. God of War 3
Platforms: PlayStation 3
Release Date: 16 March, 2010 God of War III concluded the acclaimed series with an absolutely epic effort. Taking everything that was good about the first two games and combined them with outstanding graphics and in-depth combat. The range in different weapons offered more ways to rip apart enemies while boss fights were spectacular in scale. It featured a host of memorable encounters as well as some of the best cut scenes in any video game. Not only was it a truly brilliant game but it is one of only a few exclusives that every Xbox owner will have wanted to try.
