50 Greatest Video Game Villains Of All Time!

15. Darth Malak (Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic)

The ultimate black and white villain, Darth Malak is just evil! As soon as you start Knights of the Old Republic its made clear all the evil actions committed at his hand and command. He had control of the Star Forge, a huge sprawling station capable of creating an infinite number of ships, he also had The Leviation, a star cruiser that could wipe out planets in one quick blast! Whatever you choose to do in KOTOR you will eventually confront Malak, hell be there waiting and boy will he be mad! This final fight is one of the toughest battles that many gamers will face, Malak mid fight will run over to the Jedi he has captive and drain them of their life force to refill his own, meaning one of the only ways to stop him is by embracing the Dark within yourself...KILL ALL THE JEDI!

14. General Raam (Gears Of War)

The tough final battle in Gears of War was due in fact to this Locust leader. General Raam, once a simple Theron Guard usurped the leadership of the locusts military through high intellect and skill! Raam is not only a crack shot with huge strength and a thick hide, he is also the only locust who can control the Kryll, using them to shield him during battle and destroy you time and time again if you venture out of the light Raam fought on insane mode is definitely a tough one for most gamers!

13. Darth Vader (Any Star Wars Game)

The one villain in all media forms, be it comics games or movies, that everyone knows is Darth Vader. The iconic helmet and breathing sound (obligatory deep breath through hand). He€™s appeared in countless games, most recently being The Force Unleashed series which allows you to even play as Vader briefly so you can experience the sheer power he controls in a bid to fill you with even more fear at the prospect of fighting him! Every gamer knows exactly what they€™re in for the moment they hear Vader coming and it sets most of us quaking in our boots! The list of his crimes is endless from killing innocents to destroying planets single handedly, he€™s definitely high on the villains list!

12. Sander Cohen (Bioshock)

Artist are a fickle bunch - really highly strung and unpredictable at the best of times, none more so than this man, feeling under appreciated and his genius ignored! But with a huge security force and army of splicers at hand he€™s ready to make his genius known! Unlike Andrew Ryan or Frank Fontaine however Cohen isn't after control of rapture by any means, he just wants revenge, sending you on a mission to murder four of his betrayers and bring back photographic proof of each of their demise. Cohen constantly flutters between calm sanity to insane rages which makes him a foe not to be messed with, this also makes the decision to kill him or spare his life after hes done with you all the more difficult! Being just on the cusp of totally insanity is he worth killing?

11. Psycho Mantis (Metal Gear Solid)

Anyone who played Metal Gear Solid will remember the fight with Psycho Mantis with a great love, it was highly original, challenging and down right creepy! Sure he looked like someone dressing up for a Marylin Manson tribute act, floating above a desk while doing so, but his tactics were brilliant. Mantis took control of Meryl, having her shout sexually charged insults your way before leaving you no choice but to knock her out!, he turned your TV screen black at will, genuinely leaving you thinking you'd broken your screen, The fight was a totally mind warping event! The fight was revolutionary, moving past game characters and having Mantis interact with the player. He could read your memory card, mocking how many saves you made and what other Konami games you had saved. If you had a Dual Shock controller, Mantis would ask you to put it on the floor so he could move it with his mind! The best part for me however was when you had to plug your controller into the second port so as to elude the control of Psycho Mantis! When all was said and done, you never hated mantis, you heard the story of his traumatic life and you genuinely felt sorry for him! A rich and deep villain for sure!
