Despite the changes EA Sports has tried to make across the mode, Ultimate Team remains ultra competitive.
New modes have been added to try and put some fun back into Ultimate Team, but even these become extremely difficult - and the only real reason to play them is to earn more rewards for your matches via objectives.
The areas of Ultimate Team where you will spend the majority of your time will be Rivals Matches or Weekend League. However, with the rewards on offer and limited matches available for both, every game you play will be a battle.
Every match matters, especially in Weekend League where one extra win can be the difference between a different level of rewards. Unfortunately, it means that every player you will face will be doing everything possible to get the win.
It is a problem which exists across gaming, not just FIFA, but Ultimate Team remains so competitive in every area it can often take the fun out of playing - and FIFA 21 has done nothing to change this.
