Sting's moveset showcased his innovation and ingenuity as a wrestler which set him apart from the rest of the roster. He wasn't your typical brawler, high flyer or technician. Having the strength to lift the likes of Giant (Big Show) off his feet coupled with the ability to jump high enough to deliver a perfect dropkick is no easy feat. Moreover, Sting has a few moves in his arsenal that no WWE game in the past has included. Or authentic versions of them at least. First and foremost, the Stinger Splash. To describe the Stinger Splash, only one word comes to mind - majestic. That's not an exaggeration, if anything, majestic might be a bit of an understatement. It's such a simple move but it's one that Sting has perfected and elevated. 2K would be clever to use this in the same manner as corner signatures from the previous game. To expand, when the opponent has been thrown or placed in one of the four corners, Sting has to go to the opposite corner to prompt a corner signature. Cue cinematic of Sting delivering the most epic corner splash in wrestling history. The mere thought is sure to send Sting fans into a frenzy. Secondly, the iconic Scorpion Death Drop. This was introduced at the time of his crow gimmick, so it wouldn't make sense for the surfer version to have it too. Excluding 2K14, this move had never been included in the previous WWE games, and even in 2K14 it wasn't until the release of the DLC with additional moves did we finally get a half decent version of it. It was quick with not a shrivel of drama attached to it, but it sufficed. Beggars can't be choosers and all that. Finally with the inclusion of Sting this year, 2K can make a justified Death Drop, complete with added intensity and drama. The Scorpion Death Lock deserves a mention but it's really just a sharpshooter so we've pretty much seen it all before. If 2K can add a bit of sting to it (pun intended) and make it his own then we're all for it. Anything with more Sting in it is acceptable. We've waited a long time for this momentous occasion and quite frankly we don't know if Sting is going to be in any of the future games, so here's hoping that they provide the proper moves and not shoddy knock offs. We've seen enough of them in previous games.
Law graduate. Dream is to serve the public by day and parade around as Batman by night. Although, the latter would be more desirable if honest. Huge gaming aficionado. That pretty much sums up it up.
