7 Best Pirate Video Games
1. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag
You don't need to have played any previous Assassin's Creed games to enjoy Black Flag, and if you don't enjoy regular Assassin's Creed gameplay then don't worry there is a surprising lack of it here.
Yeah, it's present, but most of your playtime will be sailing the seas with your crew, singing shanty's, going deep-sea diving, hunting animals, and fighting enemy ships.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is so separate from the other games in the series that you could easily alter a couple of things and have a completely original property on your hands.
Ubisoft has been trying to chase that Black Flag high ever since it was released with Assassin's Creed Rogue, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, and Assassin's Creed Valhalla all having a huge focus on sailing and most games after Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag including it in some capacity.
The thing is, it's not just the sailing that makes Assassin’s Creed IV so special, it's the general pirate setting.
Captain Edward Kenway's story is pretty wrapped up by the end of the game but another Assassin's Creed title with a pirate setting featuring another character would be great. Come on Ubisoft, make it happen.
