7 Reasons EFootball 2022’s Launch Has Been A Disaster And Spells The End Of PES

4. Backward Steps Visually

Visually the series has come on leaps and bounds in recent years, and the likenesses of the star names are arguably better than what EA Sports and FIFA can offer.

eFootball remains partnered with several of the biggest clubs in the world, including Barcelona and Manchester United, which has led to some fantastic looking stadiums in the build-up to games. When playing, it also does provide a great visual experience from afar and looks like you are watching a Premier League match on TV.

However, problems arise when you get closer to the action, with plenty of horror moments. Crowds are filled with the same people over and over again, while many other elements are the same clips we have seen in Pro Evolution Soccer for years.

It's biggest fault comes when you zoom in on the star names such as Messi or Ronaldo, as faces lose their shape, eyes start looking the wrong way, and it just doesn't look right. This is especially true if you use replays and goal celebrations. It appears to be an area that hasn't been tested or they can't fix it because in just a few games it is noticeable.
