7 Reasons To Be Excited About Final Fantasy XV

Final Fantasy XV
Square

FFXV is all about the bond between the four main characters. In fact, that bond is so strong, it may even be totes adorbs.

Sorry. Those aren't my words - they're actually uttered by a character in the game, but he's just down with the kids... kinda.

Anyhoo, the way the cast in XV interact with each other is perhaps one of its strongest selling points. You've got Noctis, the brooding king-in-waiting; you've got Prompto, the cocky upstart with the big hair and the guns; then there's big and burly Gladiolus and - finally - the groups' driver and chef, Ignis.

All four of the characters are childhood friends; they haven't just been thrown together by fate, as happens in most Final Fantasy games. You'll see this in the way they interact with each other and the world; characters will regularly comment on things that happen, including joking around with each other and acting like they're all just a bunch of friends on a ridiculous mission (which they are).

During development, XV has regularly been likened to a 'road movie', and it's clear that this inspiration has made it into the final product. You'll be joining the guys for a quest across a huge interconnected landmass, finding out more about them, their lives and the depths of their friendship as they go along.

So don't just think of them as the boyband many people think they are; there's going to be a lot more to these guys than you think.
