4. Rockstar's Universe

Rockstar is one of those developers that always pushes to go bigger. So it's entirely possible that they would go bigger in the sense of combining their universes and create a singular amalgamation of all their major series.

This theory combines GTA, Manhunt, Bully and even Red Dead Redemption into a singular universe. It's mostly done through references, but references that are irrefutable. Michael in GTA mentions taking a score in the same city as Manhunt.

Not only that, but in GTA IV, on a TV in one of your safehouses you can see an ad for a school that bears a striking resemblance to Bulworth Academy, the school from Bully.

The most interesting link is Red Dead Redemption. In the character creation menu for the original build of GTA Online (a needlessly complicated character creator at that), you can choose John Marston as one of your ancestors, alluding to the fact that the two games share a universe, but at different points in time.
