7 Video Game NPCs That NEED Their Own Game

1. The Narrator - The Stanley Parable

Now there have been many great narrators across the course of video game history.

From Max Payne delivering his own melancholic diatribe on life, death and everything in between, through to Bastions soundtrack giving way to the Narrator detailing your actions as you made them, it's a bizarre meta-shattering storytelling device that both makes the player intimately aware they're playing a game, yet because the voices in your head are detailing the events as they unfold by your hands it draws you further into the gameplay.

Yet there is no other video game narrator quite like the one we find with The Stanley Parable, as here this omniscient and omnipresent voice seems to be your ally, your enemy, your guiding light and the devil's advocate all at once, and creates one of the few pure perfect video game experiences going. So just imagine what it would be like to see things from their perspective.

It would likely be sheer insanity right? Well, what if the game involving The Narrator is a pseudo-dungeon builder experience, in which you must guide different Stanleys to specific endings, with the twist being that because the Stanley is controlled by an AI mimicking a human player they never do what you bloody tell them!

Cue hair-pulling moments of trying to lead your Stanley down a corridor only for them to veer off into the unknown and then having to scramble to build sections to get back on track. It'd be like Lemmings for a new era of gamers, and fans of that series know how addictive that franchise was!
