7 Video Game Post Credits Scenes That Changed EVERYTHING
3. Modern Day Dracula - Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow
Now while Lords of Shadow might not be the most well-loved Castlevania game out there, especially when it was aping other titles so hard that it was making a monkey out of its own lineage, it still had the capability to stake a claim to greatness when it was running on full steam.
However, when it came to the ending, it seemed that Dracula wasn't the only one with a love of pulling the rug out from underneath our heroes because it contained multiple spit take moments. For a start, the ending of the main game had seen Garbiel finally defeat Satan and return the God Mask to its rightful owner, plus in a bittersweet moment, he had been reunited briefly with his wife before she returns to the heavens. If the game had ended there it would have been pretty impactful, with Gabriel finally free of his guilt, but once more alone.
Yet the story continues, revealing that not only is Zobek the secondary antagonist of the game is alive somehow, but also that Gabriel has become DRACULA, is now immortal, AND is actually alive in the present day as shown when he's thrown out of a window and into a busy street.
This changes EVERYTHING about not only the game we'd just played, but the entire series, thrusting us out of the medieval era which every Castlevania title had used, and also positing us in the big bad boots. It's a rather brilliant and totally unexpected twist that left many salivating for Lords Of Shadows 2.
