7. Days Gone
Days Gone is a game we keep getting more and more information about, yet still haven't been able to play. Despite gameplay demos, trailers, story teases and so much more, gamers still aren't able to get their hands on this open-world survival game.
Everything we've seen promises a true freedom to Days Gone's gameplay, so the regular delays are somewhat to be expected, with the apparently massive open world probably needing a huge amount of time to check it over.
Everything from the weather, time of day, combat preferences (whether you prefer to confront your enemy human gangs head-on with a small armoury of weapons or lead a trail of "Freakers" right to them for a feast) will factor in to your Days Gone experience, so Sony putting it back seems a smart idea to make sure we get what's been shown off.
Despite the delays, hands-on feedback from E3 2018 was promising. Even if the sluggish release pace takes its cues from more traditional zombies, hopefully Days Gone will finally shamble its way into PS4 come its currently scheduled April 2019 release date.
