8 BEST Movie Tie-In Video Games EVER
7. Spider-Man 2
It's certainly fitting that the best Spider-Man movie also has one of the best games featuring the web-slinger, for while 2004's Spider-Man 2 can't match the cinematic majesty of Insomniac's recent efforts, it was seriously ahead of its time.
A staggering improvement upon the pretty-good tie-in for Sam Raimi's first Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man 2 introduced physics-based web-swinging for the first time, alongside beefed up combat and a breathtakingly vast, open world Manhattan jam-packed with worthwhile things to see and do.
Oh, and the game is also narrated by Bruce freakin' Campbell, if you weren't sold yet.
Sure, its visuals and voice acting can't help but seem dated now, but it's still supremely playable, basically serving as the blueprint for modern Spider-Man games as we know them, with its commitment to making players truly feel like they embodied Spidey.
In a period where you couldn't walk two feet without tripping over a new, thoroughly naff movie tie-in, Spider-Man 2 stood tall as a brilliant game regardless of whether you'd actually seen the film.
