8 Best Superhero Video Games That Didn't Come From DC Or Marvel

3. South Park: The Fractured But Whole

In The Fractured But Whole, you replace your shield, sword, and Harry Potter glasses, with a cape, mask, and a utility belt full of chocolate bars and Twinkies.

The day after Nazi babies - and men in black trying to control the universe with a stick - the children of South Park play Civil War. You play as the new kid (again), and you get to make a superhero with an embarrassing backstory - one that is appropriate seeing as you’ll be dressed up in tinfoil, sandals and your mum’s bra on your head.

From fighting child-molesting priests in your bedroom to giving lap-dances at a strip club, Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s first video game sequel is an improvement on The Stick Of Truth. Its grid-based combat is deeper, its social justice comedy is sharper than ever, and it has fan favourites who did not make the cut back in 2014: Randy, Butter’s Dad, and PC Principal.

It doesn’t matter if you’re team Mysterion or team Coon And Friends, The Fractured But Whole is the funniest parody of the superhero scene, in addition to being one of 2017’s best games of the year.
