Looking for a laugh.

Out of all of the job titles within the video game industry, few are able to get the heart pumping quite as much as "video game item description scribe #83"

Ooooh, did you feel that? Shivers!

All joking aside though it's not likely something that you'll be rushing out to get printed onto your business card, and yet those that are given the keyboard and told to "explain what this does to the player" often have access to a rather unique relationship with gamers.

For not only is knowledge able to be drawn from their words, but also it's a chance for the author to sneak in Easter Eggs, references to other properties, or as is the case with these examples, try out their stand-up routine to a captive audience.

All of the items here managed to get a laugh out of us with their witty dialogue, their odd choice of words, and of course with dick, fart, and gross-out humor a-plenty! Huzzah!

8. The Vibe Scepter - Super Princess Peach

Now technically the in-game description of the infamous Vibe Sceptre from Super Princess Peach also counts as the games ending text meaning that it's not exactly hidden, however, the joke itself might fly entirely over the heads of younger players meaning that it's a case of a rather lude joke hiding right under our noses.

The Vibe Sceptre, which forms the basis of the gameplay in Super Princess Peach is a magical item that can instantly change the mood of the bearer or those around them, which while raising all sorts of red flags as you're effectively carrying around "the Gaslighter3000" does make for some fun platforming and light-puzzle solving.

However, one puzzle that younger players may not be able to solve is the reason why their parents or older siblings are laughing their arses off at the ending of this game or leaving the room in embarrassment. For you see upon completing Super Princess Peach, the text crawl reveals that the Sceptre has disappeared and "who knows who might be using it now"? Maybe Bowser has gotten his hands on it and is learning to control his rage, maybe an aspiring indie film director is going to use it to make their work tear-jerking Oscar bait, or maybe, just maybe, it's in your mum's bedroom and it's vibing her rocks off.

Err. What was that last bit or as your mum is saying with the Vibe Sceptre in hand "come again?"

Yup you read it right. That description is basically saying the Vibe Sceptre is a Vibra....well, you get the idea.

No wonder this was called the Sensation Sceptre in Spanish.
