5. Mario & Rabbids: Kingdom Battle

Thanks to a substantial report on Kotaku, we know another major Switch exclusive is the fantastic pairing of Mario with the can't-believe-they're-not-the-Minions, the Rabbids. Remember them?

Ubisoft's little kid-friendly creatures will partner with the portly plumber using The Division's 'Snowdrop Engine', confirming Ubisoft are developing, yet it's a strange-sounding engine for a character like Mario to get factored into.

Gameplay-wise, it's actually a turn-based RPG, which despite being the complete polar-opposite of a Warioware/Raving Rabbids minigame collection that would go down a storm, still includes two-player co-op, and - even more bizarrely - guns with laser beams.

I don't know about you, but a gun-toting Mario feels a bit off, though we'll have to wait and see.

Full character roster on Nintendo's side includes Mario, Luigi, Yoshi and Peach, but the four Rabbids also come dressed up as Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Peach. This thing is either going to be brilliant fun with an identity all its own, or mass market-focused toss.
