8 Insane Random Events In Video Games You Need To See

2. Getting Eaten By Beavers - Rimworld

Despite its cutesy appearance, settlement building sim Rimworld is a rather unforgiving title, routinely doling out some pretty harsh and horrible scenarios for players just simply trying to survive in the furthest reaches of space. Across you're time you'll be met with sickness, power issues, invasions, and of course your little settlers even breaking up (awww), however, this is nothing compared to...The Beavers.

You heard me right.

One of Rimworlds random events sees the mass spawning of Alphabeavers into the game world. Now, this might not seem much like a problem at first, but things take a sharp left turn if you're ever to look at their in-game state.

You see, these Alphabeavers start with their hunger bar depleting rapidly, and so will begin feasting on any nearby wood, often devastating entire forests in short order.

This can be a big problem if you need wood for your settlement, and so need to sort this out as soon as possible, a task made much harder by the fact that if one of your group attacks the Alphabeavers, there's a small change they will go absolutely wild and call all of their friends in to help drive you off.

One beaver on its own is easy to take down, but multiple Alpha Beavers? It can turn into a massacre and not one that's in your favor.

Jules Gill hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
