3. Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare - Destroy The Sasquatch Population

Capitalising on the zombie craze sweeping through gaming at the time, Undead Nightmare was an expansion on the Western format popularised by 2010's Red Dead Redemption. The main story was heavy, but gamers hadn't seen anything yet. Undead Nightmare wasn't all about gunning down zombies, as it featured other 'monsters' too.

One mission had John Wayne caricature John Marston chasing after an entire race of Sasquatch creatures, putting them in watery graves around the rain-soaked marshes of the American frontier. After blasting mindlessly through the species though, players were faced with a solemn looking Big Foot lamenting the loss of his peaceful kind.

Only then did it come out in the wash that the Sasquatch collective weren't eating human babies at all (despite the claims of one nefarious mission-giver), but lived harmlessly in the forests surviving on plant life. As if that wasn't depressing enough, Rockstar gave gamers a choice between leaving the lonely creature to solitude or killing him too.

Ok, Rockstar, we forgive you for the stock market thing.
