8 More Optional Superbosses Who Totally Destroyed Players
3. IGA - Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night
To be clear, this is an optional superboss that for a time was actually hidden from a percentage of the player base as it was originally a piece of DLC that was only for backers of the Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night kickstarter. Nowadays, anyone can stump up the cash to take on IGA, but why people would want to pay to have their ass absolutely handed to them is beyond me.
Maybe it's because the boss in question is actually the game's creator and legendary mind behind Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Koji Igarashi. The chance to test your might against the great man himself may see that wallet suddenly fly open.
The boss battle itself requires almost perfect timing to dodge his screen eating attacks, with one in particular literally coating the arena in flames. Which he loves to spam. Along with his mastery of Ice and Fire. And he can teleport. Oh Jesus, it's tough.
Bring a pantry full of food with you because you're going to be raiding the larder again and again with each of his beef boy attacks. Just don't be surprised if you're left as nothing more than a crumb once he's chewed you up and spat you out time and time again.
