8 Popular Nintendo Wii U Games (And Whether They Deserve Switch Ports)
4. Star Fox Zero
Should it be allowed on the Switch: Yes
The biggest weakness of Star Fox Zero was the console it was on. Nintendo was so determined to use this game to show off what the Wii U GamePad could do that they butchered the game's controls in trying to do so. The game would be pretty good if you didn't have to keep alternating between looking at two different screens.
If Star Fox Zero was ported to the Switch with the controls of something like Star Fox 64 it would be great.
Whilst the game definitely should be ported to the Switch whether Nintendo will or not is a different story. The game has a negative reputation and probably wouldn't sell incredibly well. Another reason it probably won’t come to Switch is because the Wii U version has weird controls that would have to be changed for the Switch, because of this the port wouldn’t even be cheap to make.
Well, looks like Star Fox will probably remain buried for another ten years before they try to remake the original game for the fifth time, hopefully that time it actually succeeds and the franchise can return to its former glory.
