8 Reasons The Xbox One Will Dominate The PS4 In 2016

6. The New Dashboard Will Be Far Better Than The PS4's

Microsoft is doing well to distance itself and its beloved Xbox One as far away from Windows 8 as possible. To that end, it's replacing the Metro-themed tile dashboard with the "New Xbox One experience" OS, which is powered by Windows 10, looks great, and early tests suggest is faster than both the old Xbox One and PS4 interfaces. Reddit user dieklobrille ran some tests on a beta build of the new Xbox interface, and found that at the best of times it ran nearly twice as fast as the PS4 interface. He tested this by carrying out basic actions such as opening the store page, starting a party and inviting three friends, and joining a friend's party. In each of the tasks, he found that the new Xbox UI performed tasks 30-50% faster, which is a massive improvement beyond anyone's expectations. Better still, this isn't even the final build of the new UI, but the first edition should be rolled out to all Xbox One owners by the end of the year.
