8 Reasons The Xbox One Will Dominate The PS4 In 2016

5. It'll Get The Best Windows 10 Features On Offer

Windows 10 has pretty much righted all the wrongs and grievances caused by Windows 8. It's slick, intuitive, feature-packed, and designed to integrate smoothly with all Microsoft PCs, smartphones and in particular, the Xbox One. When the new Windows 10-powered dashboard arrives on home console, it'll bring with several of Windows 10's finer features. The ever-improving voice assistant, Cortana, will be among them, which lets you give voice commands to your console to record your game footage and upload it straight away, invite friends to join your party, and even schedule events across multiple Windows 10 devices. Cortana won't launch with the new Xbox One UI however, but will come out in 2016 instead. The Xbox One will also be compatible with Universal apps - which are designed to run with Windows 10 and can easily be ported to the Xbox One. Popular health tracker Fitbit, for example, has a universal app, and will be porting it to the Xbox One soon, so you can use your Xbox One to track the terrible impact your video-game addiction is having on your fitness routine. The switch to Windows 10 is expected to quickly bolster the Xbox One's app catalogue by the thousands. Crucially, popular apps like Netflix, YouTube and Sky Player are likely to go 'Universal', which means they'll be much easier for developers to update and maintain than ever before.
