8 Reasons You Should Be Playing World Of Warcraft Classic

2. The Sense Of Achievement

We've already touched on Classic's higher difficulty, but its merits rest mostly with the way that curve manifests itself in gameplay.

Aside from the occasional frustration, Classic's more challenging nature only serves to make the entire experience feel more rewarding.

Whereas the latest retail version prides itself on its streamlined, easy to master nature, Classic is much more of a slow burn. In Classic, it will take you months to reach the level cap of 60 - and while that might sound like more trouble than it's worth, it really isn't.

Every small victory feels like an achievement in Classic. Every fight you survive, every quest you complete and every piece of gold you earn requires effort and patience, all of which is spent among a host of beautiful landscapes among players trying to do just the same.

So much of that magic has been lost by the over the years with Blizzard's updates and expansions, but Classic brings it all roaring back. That golden swell of light upon levelling up has never felt quite so sweet as it does in this throwback.
