8 SEVERELY Underused Locations In Video Games
6. United Arab Emirates
With the exception of Formula 1 games, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, and the fantastic Spec Ops: The Line, the United Arab Emirates is a surprisingly overlooked setting in modern video games.
The United Arab Emirates is a huge land mass that features a vast dessert, weaving together almost 50 cities, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Not only does it feature the tallest building in the world and an incredibly topography, but its wealth, architecture political climate, and position on the Persian Gulf makes it wholly unique.
Of the games that have taken place there, only Spec Ops: The Line really immersed you in the landscape and told a story there. However, with such a vast landmass and beautiful scenery, it only makes sense that a video game will head back that direction soon. We've had an excellent first person shooter, but how about a third-person action game, akin to Uncharted, or maybe an interactive story game like Until Dawn. There are endless possibilities to explore with UAE.
