3. XIII - Remake

Now I know that many of you might have seen the title of this entry and began hammering your keyboard with the passion of a thousand suns to tell me how wrong I am and that XII is a sublime piece of cel-shaded shooting perfection.

And you'd be right. It's a fantastic game!

However, there is just one glaring problem with the title that absolutely earns its place on this list, which comes in the form of the XIII REMAKE that dropped in November of 2020, a video game so bad that the 2003 version is far superior in every single way.

What this remake did was take a video game with a razor sharp storyline about an amnesiac assassin fighting for survival against those who think he's killed the president and just smeared it with every single brand of dog feces they could, turning it into an utter stink fest of missing sound effects, terrible animation, horrendous enemy A.I and gameplay that somehow feels even further back along the evolutionary chain than the original game.

The fact that this title maintains the brilliant story but effectively drowns gameplay in a used toilet makes for an utter horror show. It also no doubt sullies any chances of newcomers picking up this version of the game and demanding that a sequel be released to finish off that almighty cliffhanger.

It's a game so bad we wish we could be hit with a dose of amnesia to forget this raging skip fire.

Jules Gill hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
