8 Types Of Player In Rainbow Six: Siege
5. The Interferer
Many operators have the ability to interfere with enemies and their equipment. This frequently disrupts the enemy’s plan of attack, whether this be Bandit deployables destroying exothermic charges or Thatcher’s EMP grenades blowing up Kapkan’s traps.
Each operator can be used creatively to maximise their impact. Bandit and Mira make a good combination, as Bandit can deploy his batteries much faster than Thermite can deploy his exothermic charge. This means that if Bandit sees Thermite place his charge, Bandit can quickly deploy a battery and destroy the charge.
Mute is also very powerful, as his signal disrupters render drones useless. The disrupters can also be used to prevent the use of breach charges, as communications between detonators and charges are jammed. This impedes attackers such as Fuze, Thermite and Hibana.
Thatcher can destroy electronic devices deployed by defenders. This includes Bandit's batteries, Mute's disrupters and Kapkan's EDDs. This exposes entry points that were previously protected. Thatcher works especially effectively with Thermite, who's exothermic charges become virtually unstoppable unless Bandit spots his deployment through one of Mira's black mirrors or a camera. Beware that Thatcher's EMP grenades do not destroy Frost's bear traps.
