8 Types Of Player In Rainbow Six: Siege
4. The Sniper
Normally a tactic used by attackers, many players use ACOG scopes to wait for an unsuspecting opponent to wander into their cross-hares. These players can be found on rooftops, balconies, stairs and skylights.
Defenders cannot exit buildings without being detected, but have been known to snipe off of balconies and stairs. Operators that lurk through the map rarely have suitable weapons for a sniper approach but try to nonetheless. This typically results in significant reductions in enemy health, but rarely killing attackers.
Glaz is the obvious choice for a sniper: his flip sight highlights defenders and his OTs-03 is powerful enough to instantly kill an enemy with a headshot. The flip sight can detect heat signatures through smoke, which can be the bane of any defender who selects Smoke as their operator, especially if they play with a shotgun that lacks the range to even hit Glaz from afar. Glaz also has his own smoke grenades.
Other attacking operators who can snipe include Dokkaebi, who's Mk 14 EBR with ACOG scope can be deadly. It's fast (but not automatic) rate of fire is deadly and frequently unexpected.
