7. Zoo Tycoon - Murderous Penguins

In the original Zoo Tycoon, released in 2001 for the PC, there was a somewhat unexplainable bug regarding... penguins. For some reason, placing a penguin inside any enclosure other than a penguin one would cause the penguin to go on a murderous rampage and kill any animal within it.

This was obviously unintentional, as zebras and penguins aren't exactly natural enemies, but developers Blue Fang Games decided to have a little fun with this insane bug in the sequel to the game, Zoo Tycoon 2.

The sequel featured an expansion pack called Extinct Animals, allowing you to adopt animals like the Woolly Mammoth, the Sabretooth Tiger, and... the "Killer Penguin". Said penguin works much the same as they did in the original game, killing any and all animals it comes in contact with.

Just for reference, there are T-Rexs in this game. Giant, carnivorous dinosaurs - that can and absolutely will be murdered to death by this freaky looking, glowy-eyed penguin. Even the visitors at the zoo are scared to death of this, often saying "I wonder if I give the penguin money, will it be nice to me?"

While we're on the topic of weird penguin-related bugs...
