8 Video Game Deaths That Just Didn't Work
2. Mikey - Ride To Hell: Retribution
So let me tell you a story.
A man returns from the Vietnam war. The country he knew has changed in his absence and not, it seems, for the better. His younger brother is distant and the man doesn't know how to communicate with him on an emotional level. Their only connection it seems, is music. The pair begin to reconnect through music and their shared love of motorcycles. However, one fateful day his brother is attacked by a rival biker gang and after a standoff, is killed when his throat is slit.
The man vows revenge.
Now on paper that actually sounds like the setup to an, admittedly pretty generic, but altogether fun story of revenge right? Well take all of that, slap so much cheese on it that it resembles a fromagerie, get the worst voice actors in the world to have a crack and then animate it with rigging that looks like it's been dragged off the ocean floor and graphics that look uglier than an exploded kitten in a microwave.
Congratulations: you've got Ride To Hell: Retribution, and no I didn't care that your brother Mikey dies BECAUSE THIS GAME IS LIKE LICKING LUCIFER'S ARMPITS.
