8 Video Game Enemies That Are Secretly Friends

In Fable III, the initial Big Bad is King Logan, the protagonist's brother, who has become an increasingly tyrannical leader, to the extent that he even offers the hero a grim choice - either sacrifice a group of citizens who protest Logan's rule, or sacrifice his own love interest.

That's enough to cement Logan as an all-timer video game villain, and though much of the game is spent planning his downfall, it's ultimately revealed that Logan's motivations are a little more complicated than they seem.

Basically, Logan learned that a creature called the Crawler was planning to attack and wipe out the Kingdom of Albion, and his actions have all been part of an effort to raise money to build an army to successfully repel the Crawler.

That doesn't mean that Logan's plan wasn't utterly misguided, because it absolutely was, but he was ultimately working in the interest of the greater good, to ensure Albion's long-term survival.

And once players overthrow Logan and step into his shoes for themselves, it's a little easier to appreciate just how tricky a position the guy was in, even if it's also easy to object to his extreme methods.
