8 Video Game Movie Adaptations That Were Better Than We Remember
3. Spider-Man 2 (PS2/XBOX)
Spider-Man in a video game form is fun no matter what format we're given and slinging and lassoing criminals with webbing will never get old. When Sam Raimi's trilogy made it to the big screen, adjacent video games inevitably followed
But after the first Spider-Man game's release, which took place exclusively on rooftops or inside laboratories, it felt like the developers might have dropped the ball and left a turd in the toilet.
However when the adjacent film to Spider-Man 2 came out and we got a fully-fledged New York city free for us to roam around and rapidly climb walls, we knew video game developers of the day and future would have no difficulty making a world where we could play as Spider-Man wonderfully.
In addition to presenting the film's narrative, the game also slid in a storyline of its own. Not confined to the events of the film, gamers got to do battle with Mysterio and Shocker as well as the movie villain, Doc Ock.
Overall it was a fun game. Although it pales in comparison to the recent Spider-Man adaptation, it's still worthy of your enduring fondness.
