8 Video Game Movie Adaptations That Were Better Than We Remember

While Rockstar Games have developed a tough reputation over the last few decades as being excessively violent, we can't condemn them alone for that. The care and detail the developers put into what they make is truly astounding and shows genuine pride in whatever it is they are making.

While many movie-to-file adaptations find themselves locked down by the events of the film, Rockstar decided to expand and tell really interesting and unique origin stories for the nine lead Warriors, as well as provide backstory for the other gangs.

Here is what happens when a creative entity takes a simple 90-minute film and really thinks about what the conceived world would entail. More than half the game takes place before the events of the film, and we really get a lot of backstory to chew on.

The gameplay isn’t as groundbreaking as it was in 2007, but at the time it served as an excellent beat-em up brawler that separated itself from games such as Street Fighter, and made mash-up fight sequences that were on par with most wrestling games.

It might be getting on, but it remains infinitely replayable today.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
