8 Video Game Sequels That Fixed EVERYTHING
2. Just Cause 2
When a sequel is so utterly brilliant that you barely remember the game actually had a previous iteration then you pretty much know that the game in question is the epitome of that franchise right?
Well, that's exactly the case of Just Cause 2, because when people think of the outlandish and over-the-top action of this series, while the latter games have gone bigger, they arguably have not been better than Just Cause 2.
Nearly every single aspect of the original has been cranked up to hard that the nob has bloody come off in our hands, and when you compare things like the map size, the overwhelming amount of secrets, and the almost offensive chains of explosions you can set off in the sequel, it makes the original look like a firework compared to The Big !*$% Bang.
Plus we have to talk about the biggest change that sent Just Cause 2 soaring into the stratosphere, the almighty Grappling Hook. In the original, we got a glimpse of greatness, but here, with the ability to use the grappling hook as a means of traversal, in combat against enemies, or to attach two objects together felt like it opened up Pandora's Box when it came to player freedom and fun.
Seriously, nothing will ever be as fun as hooking a guard to a gas tank, shooting it, and sending the poor sap into the sky on an explosive rocket.
