8 Video Game Sequels That Fixed EVERYTHING
3. Jet Set Radio Future
I will always remember Jet Set Radio Future fondly for two major reasons:
The first is that it was actually my first foray onto the original Xbox, what with it being packaged as part of a popular bundle here in the UK and who doesn't love getting a game for free?
And secondly, it's because Jet Set Radio Future is absolutely brilliant.
When I think about this game my heart swells to such degrees that my cardiologist has banned me from playing it, and it is in every single way an improvement over the original.
That's not to say that Jet Set Radio was bad in any way, but the sluggish controls, smaller environments, and sometimes iffy camera work made the experience curbed slightly each and every time it felt like it was running at full speed.
Jet Set Radio Future on the other hand fixes every single issue of the original, providing a huge selection of expansive levels to explore, a massive roster of characters each with their own unique style and feel, and a brilliant mechanic where the more you chain together tricks, the faster you go, meaning that if you want to get from A to B quickly, you're gonna have to commit to huge combo lines.
All of this is wrapped in a glorious art style and a soundtrack so very good that I wish to eat it so that I might absorb its funky beats into my very body.
