8 Video Games That'll Make You Hate Your Friends
5. Portal 2
How could I not include Portal 2 in a list like this? It's an experience built from the ground up to quite literally test your friendship.
And my lord is it apparent that our human conceptions of what constitutes an ally are in need of some work, as the number of times you will be dropped into oblivion, hurled into a wall at speed, or simply left red in the face yelling at each other about where to place the portals reach a point of singularity.
How can an experience be so utterly thrilling and rewarding one moment but vein-bursting stressful the next?
Well by asking people to work together that's how. Weirdly enough, the moment that the puzzle finally makes sense and slots into place causes the raging inferno of hatred to dissipate - so much so that you actively forget how close you were to braining your pal with a companion cube.
Across the span of a single playthrough you'll end up hating your friends over and over again, but at the same time instantly forgetting about it the moment you're done.
