8 Video Games You Had To Beat More Than Once To Understand
1. Final Fantasy Type-0
Some video games like to embellish their stories with multiple playthroughs, and others, like Final Fantasy Type-0, just cut out entire sections and then dangle them in front of the player as a reward for completing their title.
It's a bit stinky to "reward" players with the actual plot of the game, but here we are.
That being said these new "Code Crimson" missions usually do come with some pretty brilliant action setpieces and boss encounters so at least playing through a second time feels like an enjoyable romp, and it is actually pretty satisfying to finally piece together some events that were, let's just say questionable at best on the first trip.
New Events and cutscenes flesh out the tale further, and because progress with certain character sidequests is carried over, you can learn more about your party (and yourself) in case you missed out on the original playthrough. Still, it does feel more than a little strange to feel that the game is kicking into gear in its second playthrough, making your original run feel a bit flat by comparison.
