8 Ways Rocket League Could Be Even Better

4. A Better Match Atmosphere (In-Game Songs)

A problem with Rocket League is the atmosphere that it offers in-game, because... there really isn€™t one. Unlike a sports game like FIFA or NBA 2K, there aren€™t any unique chants that can be implemented apart from the generic cheers and boos. Some maps are able to get away with this, such as Mannfield or the Utopia Coliseum has that match-day feel, seeing thousands of fans scattered around the pitch. The same can€™t be said about Urban Central or Beckwith Park, though. Unless some sort of crowd isn€™t added, the atmosphere of those arenas are lifeless. One way Psyonix could change this, is allowing gamers the option to turn on the soundtrack whilst playing, similar to how Fifa Street handled this functionality. Having music - custom or otherwise - in the background would make the game seem more interesting to watch, instead of listening to the sounds of boosting cars and a bouncing ball.
