Yes, 2014's Destiny launch was a colossal success, but considering the amount of time players have spent journeying as a single character and building them up, wouldn't it make more sense for the series to continue as a service, not unlike, say, World of Warcraft?

Destiny 2 will only allow certain character attributes to carry over from the previous game, a philosophy that's counter to what a lot of fans want: to continue the adventure seamlessly after pouring potentially hundreds of hours into their original creation.

Will Destiny 2 be a sales juggernaut? Absolutely, but nobody needed or really wanted the franchise to continue in this fashion.

Could It Be Any Good?: It'll probably be an entertaining game, especially if Bungie has listened to the vocal complaints about the original.
