This is the absolute opposite of what a trophy is supposed to be, as it rewards players for actually being bad while also immediately and irreversibly adding itself to your trophy list, a constant reminder of your failure until the end of time. Or until your console breaks, which is more likely. I find it very hard to believe anyone finds the message saying, "You seem to be having trouble. Would you like to change to easy mode?" as anything other than testicle-explodingly infuriating. What€™s particularly infuriating though, above its unbelievably patronising nature, is the fact that it suggests gamers don€™t like and can€™t cope with challenge, so need to have their boo-boos kissed by the big mommy developers and opt out of whichever part of the game is causing them momentary agitation. This is the sign of an industry that doesn€™t understand its market, and the trophy is utterly without worth.
