9 New Video Games To Look Out For In June 2017

6. Nex Machina

What Is It?

Nex Machina is a flashy, neon twin-stick shooter borne by Housemarque and directed by Eugene Jarvis. Mr. Jarvis just happens to be the lead designer for genre-defining classics like Robotron: 2048 and Smash TV, meaning this game is in good hands.

Nex Machina uses the voxel-based visuals from Housemarque's Resogun, rendering countless 3D voxels for a slick retro aesthetic that it calls "Cablepunk". Players will have countless ways to tackle over 100+ levels, from online leaderboards, to co-operative or competitive multiplayer. Add in an intricate scoring system, and Nex Machina's claims of endless replayability are looking very well founded.

If you're the kind of player who wishes for the good old days of the arcades, Nex Machina looks to be an exciting title that no retro enthusiast would ever want to miss out on.

When It's Out

Nex Machina is ready to take your hard-earned quarters on 20 June.
