9 Reasons This Console Generation Will Be Dominated By PC

5. Better Tech Support

One of the biggest advantages consoles used to have was that they just worked out of the box. But as the consoles and software running them got more sophisticated, that advantage has diminished. Nowadays, console gamers are resigned to the fact that huge mandatory updates for games and consoler operating systems are a fact of life. But it means that it€™s even easier than ever for a console to become totally unusable and force you to suffer through talking to Tech Support. And even worse, odds are that Tech Support can€™t do anything and you€™ll either have to send in your console for repair (if it€™s still covered by warranty) or replace it entirely. Thankfully, PCs have it way easier than consoles in that regard. Simple programs and OS settings allow for easy backups of everything. Any hardware that breaks either can get repaired under warranty or replaced without having to buy everything all over again. A quick Google search can often find information and solutions to most software problems, although some fixes require complicated steps. Not only that, but Windows 8 comes with quick and easy features to repair or reinstall your OS if it gets ruined, as long as you keep the flash drive or DVD you used to install it. If you€™ve got even the slightest bit of tech savvy, you won€™t have too much of a problem sorting out PC problems.
