9 TERRIFYING Horror Games Still Coming In 2020

4. Sons Of The Forrest

The Forest was a surprising cult favourite when it launched in 2018. I say "surprising" not to call its actual quality into question, but because it took me much longer than I'd like to admit to realise it wasn't a tie-in to that terrible Natalie Dormer horror movie of the same name.

Instead, The Forest was actually a super intense survival game where you had to outsmart and battle a tribe of cunning humanoid creatures. Rather than mindlessly attacking you like zombies, these enemies would study your behaviour and subvert your expectations by figuring out a way to maximise your pain.

Sons of The Forest looks like more of the same, only this time with the production values pushed way up. The trailer shows you stranded in the wilderness following a helicopter crash, only to then be forced into the same cat-and-mouse game that made 2018's entry so addictive.

Also the trailer shows one of the 'demons' suggestively humping a rock. So, there's that as well.
