The prequel to the entire Yakuza series - it sold incredibly well in Japan, but didn't get the overwhelming marketing that a game of its caliber deserves in the west. Unless you were specifically looking for a new English entry to the Yakuza series you might not have ever noticed the game came out.
With dozens of hours of karaoke, disco dancing, fishing, gambling, and running a hostess club and a real estate agency there is no shortage of things to do in the game. Oh! There's also an actual game, y'know - storyline, combat system, character progression, and side-quests; the whole shebang as they say.
Speaking of the story, it's a fantastic mix of comedy and drama. There are parts that will bring you to tears, parts will make you laugh until more tears fall, and other parts that will frustrate you to tears if you want to partake in some of the more challenging minigames.
Or y'know, just play Out Run and Space Harrier for a hundred hours in the arcades. Also just as a special note - the music is some of the best, Kuze's theme makes me downright tingly.
