2. FACE IN THE SKY - Mount And Blade
If you're like me, you were likely scarred by the abysmal looking moon of Majora's Mask grimacing down on you throughout the experience, shadowing your every move with it's horrifying visage. Thankfully many beautiful and wonderous video game vistas since then have somewhat calmed my nerves.
That was until Mount and Blade came along and sent me right back to the days of damp trousers. Thanks to a bug when loading in the map, sometimes the texture search for the "sky" backdrop would fail and reset to a default image. It's just a shame that this image was of an NPC face which was now stretched across the world from Camelot to Kingdom come.
And it was horrifying.
Battling under normal conditions in the game is a grim enough experience, what with all the up close and personal can opener killing, but doing so under the face of this ugly god of the sky made you feel like ants fighting for his pleasure.
I AM THE SKY LORD! FIGHT FOR ME PATHETIC ANTS! SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT!
