9 Video Games You Never Thought You'd Get To Play
1. Duke Nukem Forever
"More like... should have disappeared forever".
Yeah, I know the jokes, you know them too, it's a dead horse by now.
Speaking impartially about this terrible game, it's actually quite an impressive feat that after fifteen years it came out. As a partial view though, it was a tyre fire.
DNF (which also stands for Did Not Finish, if you want another joke) went through a staggering number of developer changes in its long development period. Four separate studios worked on the Duke's ill-received return, with Gearbox finally settling as the developer to finish the title.
It wasn't until people saw it on shelves (or digital storefronts) that they believed it was real. Information was so sparse in the intervening years, with gameplay and screenshots few and far between, that people stopped caring for a while.
As it was, Forever did finally come out... after what seemed like forever. That it sucked was a different story, but the sheer determination to be released can at least be commended. But like all relics of the past, perhaps Duke should finally be buried.
