What You Wanted: GoldenEye 007

Right, so let’s be honest, GoldenEye is a truly magical and masterful piece of gaming ...that maybe doesn’t hold up so well today.

I know, I know, burn me at the stake. I still love you, even if you hate me.

As a multiplayer experience, GoldenEye couldn’t be beat when it launched, eating up more time than should have been legal. And yet while all were laughing around the warming glow of the TV and throwing mines at each others Oddjob, ps1 owners were left out in the cold ...after all they got was Tomorrow Never Dies as their game which was ...I mean it seems weird to even compare them.

Tomorrow never dies had no multiplayer and wasn’t even a first person shooter, but that’s the closest Sony boys and girls got. If you were being truly optimistic you could say that it was a sequel to Goldeneye ...but not a good one.

Tomorrow Never Dies was a resounding disappointment; nothing worked like it was supposed to and it just wasn't any fun to play. At least it stayed true to the film...I guess….*sigh*
