Aliens: Colonial Marines: 10 Reasons It Sucks

4. Lack of Multiplayer Maps

The multiplayer suite is a nice diversion when you've grown fed up of the single player component, though really it's a cursory addition to make the game seem a tiny bit more worth your £35, given how disappointing and short the campaign is. Amid the generic team-based offerings, there's one that stands atop the rest, the so-called Escape mode, essentially a Survival-type mode like we've seen in countless horror FPS titles. The problem? Even the multiplayer mode worth playing is sabotaged by the fact that the game only ships with a couple of maps, meaning that it gets tiresome and repetitive pretty quickly. One must think cynically and assume that Gearbox will be rolling out some DLC to remedy this (again, that you'll probably have to pay for), but really, when was it OK for a game's on-disc multiplayer content to be so meagre?
