Animal Crossing: 10 Wonderful Tiny Details You've Probably Missed

3. ALIENS?!

Animal Crossing
Nintendo

As I mentioned previously, the TV in Animal Crossing actually follows a set schedule each and every day. But if you ever happen to be watching your in-game television on a Saturday at 3 a.m. (or if you enjoy time traveling just so you can hear the meme-tastic 3 a.m. music), you'll notice that they'll be playing a test card. If you continue watching, the screen will turn to static at 3:32 a.m., then you'll be greeted by aliens the following minute.

Yes, just as they did in New Leaf, aliens will broadcast live from your television in New Horizons as well.

Though the date of their TV takeover has switched from Sunday in New Leaf to Saturday in New Horizons, their one-minute-long appearance is pretty much identical in both games. And it's still creepy as f**k. Still, fans should either stay up for it or time travel to it at least once, just to experience the phenomenon for themselves.

Just one warning, though: it is pure, unadulterated nightmare fuel. Don't say I didn't warn you.
